As you would expect there is zero value in taking England, but you also wouldn't want to bet big on going against them. I will take Wales, as they have two players that can beat Littler or Humphries on their day. I think there are alot of teams here that would buckle under pressure, playing these boys. Germany have Schindler, who can perform huge averages and Pietreczko, who has won an event before.

I'll also take a few group winners at good prices. Chinese Taipei were one of the stand outs last year and we've since seen strong displays from the likes of Japan and Chinese players in the Worlds.

2pts Wales to win World Cup 11/2
0.75pts e/w Germany to win World Cup 33/1
---------------------------------
2pts Lithuania to win Group G 5/2
2pts Chinese Taipei to win Group J 4/1
2pts Japan to win Group K 5/2
0.5pts double - Chinese Taipei and Japan both to win groups 16.5/1

US Open 2025 Betting Tips

The US Open 2025 is scheduled to tee off this Thursday, and it’s set to be one of the most unpredictable major tournaments in recent memory. Let’s take a look and see which golfers are standing out as the ones to back in the betting markets.

Scheffler and DeChambeau Head-to-Head?

Scottie Scheffler unsurprisingly leads the betting at odds of 7/2 with Betfred. The 28-year-old has won 3 out of his previous 4 tournaments, including prevailing victorious at the recent US PGA Championship. The world number one will be looking to win his fourth major title here. However, his best finish at the US Open came in a tie for second back in 2022.

Hard-hitting Bryson DeChambeau is the second favourite with the bookies at 7/1 with Bet365. Last year’s US Open winner will be hoping to become the first golfer to win back-to-back US Open titles since Brooks Koepka achieved the feat in 2017 and 2018. Both of DeChambeau’s major titles came in the US Open, with his previous win back in 2020, so he certainly has a soft spot for this tournament.

Former world number one Jon Rahm is always somebody who should never be overlooked. The Spaniard has two major titles under his belt, with the Masters in 2023 and the US Open in 2021. It feels like Rahm is at the heights he was a couple of years back, but he’s one to think about at 13/1 with AKBets.

Can Rory Win Again?

One name that will certainly be popular with UK punters is Rory McIlroy. The Northern Irishman made history back in April by winning the Masters to complete a career grand slam of major tournaments. He joined an exclusive club that includes only Tiger Woods, Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player, Ben Hogan, and Gene Sarazen in the modern era. McIlroy is rated at 14/1 to win this year’s US Open with Unibet. Can he win it for the first time since 2011?

Other dark horses to consider include 25-year-old Ludvig Aberg at 22/1 with BetVictor, who impressed at the Masters earlier in the year, world number three Xander Schauffele at 22/1 with 10Bet, Chilean golfer Joaquin Niemann at 28/1 with Sky Bet, and two-time major winner Collin Morikawa at 28/1 with LiveScore Bet.

Our US Open 2025 Betting Tips

DeChambeau is certainly one to consider given his previous form in this tournament. His two victories, combined with the fact that he’s finished in the top six at the last five major tournaments held in the US and has also been a leader at various stages in the last five tournaments, make him a decent pick, particularly for the extra places markets.

Top Scandinavian: Ludvig Aberg @ 7/4 with Bet365

2026 World Cup Qualifiers (UEFA) Bet Builder Tips Pt 2

The second round of 2026 World Cup qualifiers from the UEFA section in this international window is coming up over the next couple of days. Wales are back in action again as they travel to Group J favourites Belgium with the hope of continuing their unbeaten start to the group.

In the other televised World Cup qualifier, Finland host Poland from Group G. The home team could leapfrog the visitors into top spot with a win here. However, a win for the away side will put them in a very healthy position to qualify automatically for next summer’s tournament.

Here are two bet builder picks for the two televised World Cup qualifying matches coming our way!

Belgium vs Wales (7:45pm BST, Monday 9th June - Live on BBC One)

It’s another qualification period for a major football tournament and it’s another fixture between Belgium and Wales. The fixture has happened so often over recent years that Belgian icon Kevin De Bruyne even stated in 2022 that he was “bored with playing Wales”. It’s probably no surprise given that the two nations have met 9 times in the last 13 years. Even more so because Belgium have only won 2 of the last 8 meetings. Belgium could well be very nervous about the Wales “bogey team” tag coming back to haunt them again, having been held to a disappointing 1-1 draw away to North Macedonia on Friday night.

Craig Bellamy’s side comes into this game off the back of a labouring 3-0 win over group minnows Liechtenstein. It was far from the best performance by the Dragons but it was a case of job done. The only downside was that full back Neco Williams suffered an injury and is ruled out of this game. He’s likely to be replaced by Josh Dasilva who impressed when coming on in the last game.

Welsh fans will remember momentous victories over Belgium as the huge underdogs back in the 2016 European Championship qualifiers and the 2016 European Championship Quarter-Finals. Both nations are in completely different places now to when they were then but it’s still felt that Belgium are undoubtedly still the favourites for this game.

Bellamy’s men are unbeaten in 9 matches under the former Burnley and Anderlecht assistant manager’s tenure. Belgium have experienced a mixed start under the leadership of Rudi Garcia who was appointed back in January of this year. A 3-1 loss away to Ukraine was followed up by a 3-0 win at home against Sergei Rebrov’s men in the 2024/25 UEFA Nations League Play-Offs. The draw away to North Macedonia in their most recent outing showed that there is still work to be done.

Despite Welsh fans being optimistic that they have Belgium’s number, it will be a surprise if Belgium don’t win this one. They still boast a wealth of talent that is far superior to Wales but the team unit of the Welsh isn’t far off that of the Belgian contingent. It is also four matches between the two that Wales are without a win, so is the tide turning?

Romelu Lukaku to score or assist

Ethan Ampadu to be booked

Wout Faes to be booked

Both teams to score

Finland vs Poland (7:45pm BST, Tuesday 10th June - Live on Prime Video)

Michal Probierz’s side are dealing with the fallout of their all-time top scorer Robert Lewandowski refusing to play for the national team while Probierz is at the helm. How will it impact the team’s preparation for this game? The Eagles are top of the group with two wins from two matches played. However, those two victories, albeit with clean sheets, both came at home against so-called “lesser opposition” in Lithuania and Malta.

Finland come into this game looking to build on some encouraging performances recently. Head coach Jacob Friis was appointed back in January of this year and he’s seen the national team end a run of 8 matches without a win thanks to a 1-0 win away to Malta followed by a 2-2 draw away to Lithuania. Their most recent game saw them lose 2-0 at home to Netherlands, but there were plenty of positives to take away for the Eagle Owls.

It’ll be interesting to see how Poland manages in the aftermath of losing Lewandowski. The Barcelona front man has 85 goals for his country, but he is 36 years old and has only scored 1 goal for his nation since 5th September, 2024. Is this the chance for Krzysztof Piatek, Adam Buksa, or Karol Swiderski to step into the void?

Anytime Scorer: Karol Swiderski

Matty Cash to be booked

Poland to win

Total corners over 7.5
